Managing Tuition Payments in Stripe

This article explains how schools can connect Stripe, view approved students, track tuition payments, and export payment records in the Odyssey School Portal.

Why Schools Need Stripe
Schools must connect a Stripe account to:
- View approved students
- Manage tuition and fees
- Receive tuition payments through Odyssey
- Track payment history
Please Note: Until Stripe is connected, approved students will not appear in the school portal.
Connect Your Stripe Account
Log in to your Odyssey School Portal and complete the Stripe connection process during school onboarding.
Once Stripe is successfully connected, your school will be able to:
- View approved students
- Verify enrollments
- Enter tuition and fees
- Receive payments

When Students Become Visible
Approved students will appear in the School Portal only after:
- The school connects Stripe
- The parent selects the school
- The student becomes approved or eligible for enrollment actions
View Tuition Payments by Student
Schools can view tuition payment details directly in Stripe.
| Step | Instructions |
|---|---|
| 1. Log In to Stripe | Navigate to Stripe.com and log into your school’s Stripe account. |
| 2. Open Payments | From the left navigation menu, select Payments. |
| 3. Select a Payment | Choose a payment to view student payment details and metadata. |
| 4. Review Payment Information | Schools can view student names, payment amounts, and payment history. |
Export Tuition Payment Reports
Schools can export tuition payment records from Stripe for reporting and reconciliation purposes.
| Step | Instructions |
|---|---|
| 1. Open Payments in Stripe | Navigate to the Payments section in Stripe. |
| 2. Select Export | Click the Export button to download payment data. |
| 3. Choose Columns | Select All Columns or Custom instead of Default for detailed reporting. |
| 4. Download Report | Stripe will generate a spreadsheet with payment information by student. |
